Vitamin D
Vitamin D is sometimes called the Sunshine vitamin because our bodies use the suns ultra violet rays to produce this essential vitamin.

How Vitamin D helps
Improves absorption and utilization of Calcium and Phosphorous

Important in the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis

Symptoms of deficiency may include

Important
Most foods are generally low in vitamin D, however exposing your face and arms to the sun is an effective way to get this vitamin. If you live in a place where there is little sunshine, or in the winter time a supplement may be the way to go.
